Father/Son Camp out!

Last weekend our Stake (church organization) had their annual Father/Son Camp out.  The boys love going camping with their Dad.  This year they had so much fun.  On Saturday they even got to do rock climbing.  Gil really enjoyed that.  He was able to use his rock climbing gear that he has bought in the last year.

Pretty Pretty Princess!

The Pretty Pretty Princess game was given to us by a friend with older daughters that is moving.  I got it out to play with Rilla and she loved it.  Walter even joined us.  Jem watched but had no desire to join in.  I am so glad I have a girl and get to play girly games with her.

Studying!

Gil is going through Warrant Officer schooling here and has to study quite often.  He has reports and briefings he has to prepare.  He sometimes will go to the MI library here on post (it is only a couple blocks away) but if he wants to stay home this is what he does so that the kids are less of a distraction:

If you are wondering about his hair, yes, he is growing it out. I think he looks very good with hair. Back to the earphones. Shirley likes them now, too. here he is playing with them:

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday.  I got to sleep in.  Walter made me a house with notes in it and cards.  From Gil I got a Willow Tree figurine, Child of My Heart.  I really like Willow Tree figurines.  I enjoyed spending the day with my kids.  In church the Primary kids sang a few songs (Walter and Jem are in Primary) and I almost started crying.  I love being a mom.  It is the best blessing in the world.  I am grateful every day for my four wonderful children.  I thank Heavenly Father every day day for them.

Lost tooth!

Walter lost another tooth without realizing it until later.  That is the 3rd tooth he has lost without knowing it.  I think it is because they get really loose but he doesn't try to pull them out or let us pull them out.  He has written the tooth fairy a note each time telling her he lost hid tooth (literally).  The tooth fairy is very nice and has left him money anyway.  He has now lost 6 teeth, 2 were pulled by the dentist.

Our Anniversary!

Gil and I celebrated our 9th anniversary April 28th. We didn't have our date though until last night. We went out to eat and then went on a 2 hour sunset trail ride. It was a lot of fun, even though I was very nervous on my horse until about half way through the ride. Gil's horse was Trigger and Mine was Festis. I learned after everyone was on their horses that mine liked to kick if other horses got too close and that just made me more nervous. The worst part was waiting for everyone to get their horsed (Gil was put on his horse first and I was 5th or 6th) and there were 18 people. I would have liked to have been put on last because I was nervous the whole time. The horses had minds of their own and would walk around eating the grass and stuff and I was a little scared. I haven't been horseback riding for 9 years. Once on the trails the horses did very well at obeying. Mine turned out to be a very good horse and I felt comfortable riding him after the first half. The weather was perfect. There was even a nice soft breeze. The sunset was beautiful. It was neat to see the sunset on one side and the moon rising on the other. It was a great way to celebrate out anniversary. Gil really enjoyed it.  I am very very sore today.
